We are very pleased to welcome Diana and Adrian Bates to the new roles of Stroudco Administration Manager and Food Drop Manager. They are currently being trained up by Sarah Huntley and will take over from her on 9th November. We wish Sarah all the best with her new ventures.
Diana and Adrian have been Stroudco shoppers for over four years and Adrian has been a regular Food Hub delivery driver for most of that time, collecting orders from the school on a Saturday morning and delivering them to homes around Stroud for shoppers who prefer not to collect from the school. Adrian will be taking over the Saturday morning role of receiving produce from the Stroudco producers and coordinating the helpers to prepare the boxes ready for the shoppers.
Diana has been a regular volunteer in the Saturday morning team, helping to sort the food deliveries into the correct boxes and cold bags. She has a strong admin background and is looking forward to taking on all the back office work of Stroudco, including the transition to the new Stroudco software which will be introduced in the new year.
We have been realising for a while that the Stroudco Manager’s job was becoming very complex, so we are very pleased to have a self-employed married couple who can bring an ideal combination of skills, experience and commitment to the Foodhub.
Hot on the heels of this new appointment we are now looking for a Helpers Coordinator, who can maintain the list of helpers for the different roles (collecting from the Farmer’s Market, sorting the produce and doing the home deliveries), contact them on a weekly basis to arrange who is doing what, and liaise with the Food Drop Manager to confirm the helpers each week. Up until recently Nell Lovegrove has been building up this role and has been earning credits in her Stroudco account. To find out more about this role please email Nell on [email protected]
To see the full range of local produce available on Stroudco or to download a catalogue go to www.stroudco.org.uk or just pop in and see the Foodhub in operation any Saturday from 12noon to 1pm at Stroud Valleys School on Castle Street GL5 2HP.
